Jewish life is at the heart of everything we do
Rooted in Jewish values, expressed through every service we provide.
A meaningful Jewish life for everyone we support
At Kisharon Langdon, Jewish life is at the heart of everything we do. It is embedded across all our services, shaping the support we provide and the communities we create.
We are proud to be a Jewish organisation, rooted in Jewish values, and committed to enabling every person we support to live a Jewish life that is meaningful to them.
A Person-Centred Approach to Jewish Life
The most important principle guiding our work is choice.
We recognise that every person connects with Judaism in their own unique way, from stringent religious observance to connecting in a more cultural way, and we tailor our support to reflect this. Our role is to enable each person to practise, explore and express their Jewish identity in the way they choose.
However people choose to observe, we strive to ensure they feel part of Jewish culture, community and heritage. Whatever their path, we are here to support it.
"The most important principle guiding
our work is choice."

Model Seders that bring the Passover story to life for everyone we support.
Lag B'Omer BBQs

These moments are about more than celebration, they are about connection, belonging, and joy, helping people feel part of a vibrant Jewish community.
Supporting Religious Practice
For those who wish to observe more stringent religious practices, we provide practical support to make this possible in everyday life.
- Supporting individuals to maintain a Kosher home at all times, including Pesach
- Enabling people to observe Shabbat and festivals in a way that is meaningful and suitable for them
Our staff are guided to ensure that religious practice is upheld in a way that respects each person's choices and level of observance.
A Dedicated Jewish Living Team
Our specialist Jewish Living team delivers approximately 90 hours of Jewish Life support each week. Through this, we:
Empowering Our Teams
We ensure our staff have the confidence and knowledge to support Jewish life across all services. We do this by:
- Providing Jewish training throughout the year
- Supporting teams to uphold and implement Jewish practice
- Offering easy-read resources to make Jewish learning and participation accessible to everyone
Jewish life at Kisharon Langdon goes
beyond religious observance.
It is about immersion in Jewish culture, traditions, and shared experiences — the rhythms of the year, the foods, the celebrations, and the sense of belonging. For many of the people we support, this cultural connection is an essential and integral part of who they are.
We are committed to nurturing that identity, ensuring that Jewish life is
not only maintained, but celebrated.
Jewish life is not just something we provide — it is part of every experience
we create, and every life we support.
